Sunday School Ministries

 

Limestone Church uses the CLEAR Learning System from Randall House Publications. The curriculum is based on family-friendly themes from Scripture. Each week, the entire family studies the same passage, giving parents an opportunity to interact with their kids about what they have learned.  You will find that each lesson is relevant, containing real life application that affects you and your family.  Our Sunday School is directed by James Brown.  If you would like to be connected with a Sunday School group, E-mail us or contact our church office for details.

Nursery 0-24 months -Infants and toddlers will enjoy this teaching nursery where the children are introduced to the basics of God’s Word.  Helen Brown is the teacher of the nursery class and loves to teach and nurture the infants and toddlers. 

Pre School 2-3 -Young preschool children will enjoy the exciting lessons that bring the Bible to their level.  Each student will receive a Cuddle Time Bible Story Book, a Bible book that will reinforce the main point of each week’s Bible lesson.  Sara Arrowood, along with Wanda Fox, teaches the 2-3’s. 

Pre School 4-5 - This class consists of Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten aged students.  The students learn basic principles from God’s word, along with learning concepts that are needed in Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten aged students.   Patti Phillips teaches the Pre School 4-5’s and is assisted by Karen Bailey. 

Early Elementary (Grades 1-3) - Early Elementary students are introduced to “daily devotions.” Each student receives an Explorer’s Guide activity magazine that will help their parents take them on a day to day adventure through God’s Word.  Peggy Dickerson and Audrey Lamb teach this great group.

Upper Elementary (Grades 4-5) - Larry and Gayleen Kelley build on the concepts that are introduced in the Early Elementary class.   Each student will receive an Explorer’s Guide activity magazine that will help their parents take them on a day to day adventure through God’s Word.

Junior High (Grades 6-8) - Terry and Alisha Ricker teach the Junior High class.  Terry and Alisha are high energy teachers for a high energy age group.  Your Junior High student will be challenged to become all they can be.  Each student is encouraged to develop a daily “quiet time” with the use of their Clear Direction Magazine.    

Senior High (Grades 9-12) - Judy Fritts teaches the Senior High class as they dive into God’s Word and the Clear Horizon Magazine.  Students will be challenged to live a Christ centered life.

College and Career - Young adults will enjoy the small group feel with this class.  Each adult student receives a FUSION Magazine that guides them in their preparations for the upcoming Bible Study and daily quiet time. 

Martus (Witness) – Benny Reece leads thisgroup in a dynamic, practical approach to everyday life through strong Bible teaching, Missions, and building community within the group.  Each student is given a FUSION Magazine that helps them prepare for the upcoming Bible study and their daily quiet time.

Fellowship – This adult class is lead by great Bible teachers Howard Broyles and Mitch G’Fellers.  The Fellowship Class is a strong class of adults who seek to increase their knowledge of the Bible and Christian living.  Each student is given a FUSION Magazine that helps them prepare for the upcoming Bible study and their daily quiet time.

Adult Ladies – Sara Kilgore teaches this wonderful group of ladies and encourages them to continue in the strong Christian walk that they have been in for many years.  The Adult Ladies Bible study is taught using the themes from the FUSION Magazine.   

Adult – Chris Blake, along with Harvey Crain, teaches the Adult class.  The Adult class meets in the Sanctuary.  Chris and Harvey make studying God’s word come alive.  The curriculum is taken from the FUSION Magazine.  The Adult class consists of adult students of all ages.
